Education Prior Experience Distinctions Bar Admissions and Membership

Savannah Stevenson, an associate in our New York office, has experience in white collar criminal defense, regulatory matters and securities litigation. Savannah has represented both individuals and corporations under investigation by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, FINRA, and the District Attorney's Office. Savannah currently serves as a member of the court-appointed monitor team in JPMorgan Chase’s settlement agreement with the United States Trustee Program of the Department of Justice (see ChaseIndependentReview.com). Savannah was also a member of the defense team in United States v. Newman, et al., No. 12-cr-121, which resulted in the vacating of the defendants’ convictions by the Second Circuit in a watershed decision regarding insider trading law.  Savannah has managed numerous internal investigations of whistleblower and internal complaints alleging activities including insider trading, market manipulation, and other regulatory violations. She was named to SuperLawyers New York Metro Rising Stars list in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Savannah graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was a member of the trial team and worked as a student advocate in the Securities Arbitration Clinic, representing disadvantaged individuals with broker-dealer claims. Savannah was awarded the Jacob Burns Medal for excellence in clinical work as a result of her efforts in the Securities Arbitration Clinic. Savannah was also the recipient of the International Corporate and Intellectual Property Fellowship to support her summer work abroad in the tax-exempt jurisdiction created by the establishment of the Dubai International Financial Center. Savannah was formerly an associate at Dickstein Shapiro LLP and at Lowenstein Sandler PC.
