Jason Somensatto focuses his practice on government investigations and white collar litigation. He has represented individual and corporate clients in investigations by the DOJ, SEC and other regulators in a wide variety of matters, including alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, federal securities laws and lobbying regulations. He has also litigated several cases through trial involving claims ranging from fraud and insider trading to professional negligence.  

Jason’s recent achievements include drafting and arguing a successful motion resulting in a well-publicized opinion preventing two clients from being compelled by the SEC to provide the passwords for their smartphones over their Fifth Amendment assertions. Similarly, Jason has written several articles, and been quoted in others, addressing the intersection of financial technology and the law.

For the past several years, Jason has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the George Washington University Law School.
